Thailand's Energy Future is Bright. But the country needs more accessible and affordable clean energy solutions.
The levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) for rooftop solar in Thailand reached grid parity in 2019, making it a cost-effective solution for consumers. In simpler terms, this means the cost of generating electricity from rooftop solar became equal to the cost of buying power from the grid, offering an affordable alternative.
Thailand has the potential to generate over 300 GW of solar energy by harnessing sunlight in areas that receive high levels of solar radiation. Remarkably, achieving this would require less than 2% of the country's total land area, showing how efficient solar energy can be in utilizing space.
That's why we're starting GoldenRay project here, working to make solar power a reality for more people in Thailand.
But that's only the beginning.
